From the moment I met Devon, I immediately felt the safeness and ability to be vulnerable. We started talking and I felt less terrified with my constant indecisiveness regarding a potential C-section. As someone who has a tough time asking for help, Devon was constantly checking in on me during my pregnancy and seeing how she could help me emotionally and physically. At 37 weeks, I rushed to the ER due to incredibly painful prodromal labor. Devon spent nearly the entire day with me there, devoted to helping me feel as comfortable as possible. When it came time for my C-section Devon was there again, first thing in the morning, taking the reins when I was at my most emotional. She was in the room with me and went above and beyond documenting my birth while simultaneously giving me so much warm, emotional support. She is truly a super doula! I can't even begin to imagine what this experience would have been like without Devon by my side. Aside from being an incredible doula, I feel like we will be lifelong friends. I miss her presence already.  -Vanessa, Fairfax, CA

Devon came over as a “back up” when the doula I had coming twice per week had a conflict.  Initially, I wasn’t sure I wanted to have the “back up” person fill in as it felt like just another thing that filled me with anxiety.  Well, I’m so glad that I said yes to have her come over that day. Devon is a natural and so very passionate about her work.   She is willing to be flexible and meet you in whatever capacity that you need support. I feel so grateful that Devon is not only a great fit for us, but also appreciates that a family can continue to need doula support beyond the initial months of birth.  She is open and honest and although she has her own informed opinions and suggestions  (she’s a mom of 3 kids under 6!), is willing to tailor them to meet your individual needs and pace –- and always with kindness.  She doesn’t pretend to know it all and is always interested in learning more about infant care and the emotional, spiritual and/or physical postpartum issues.  She comes ready to dive in and help you with whatever you ask her for help with (and more!) in a way that is calm, efficient and respectful of your house and family.  I’ve never felt awkward with her in our house  -- she really feels like extended family.    Devon is a wonderful support and I highly recommend her.  -Sarah, Mill Valley, CA

“At about 20 weeks pregnant with my third son my husband was deployed. Our families are in other countries and could not travel due to Covid restrictions at the time, so when Devon stepped in to help it was such a relief. Devon and I had met a few years prior because our children went to preschool together.
Devon is always so calm, with a great energy and kindness. It is no wonder she chose this path of being a doula. I had to be induced for the birth and I knew the chance of having a complete natural birth would be harder but I wanted to try anyway. Devon was with me all the way giving me all the support and using all her tools to help me through the laboring process. After many hours and very little progression, I caved and asked for an epidural and Devon respected my decision. I had a lot of anxiety when it was time to push. Devon was by my side all the way holding my hand and coaching me. Her presence was very calming.
I am forever grateful to have had Devon with me. It is a memory I will cherish forever. -Sabrina, San Anselmo, CA
